It seems that this article is a misrepresentation of<br>\nthe situation in our company and that there is a huge difference<br>\nin figures.<\/p>\n<p>Our mid-year figures definitely show an increase of 24.8<br>\npercent of our profit for 1997.<\/p>\n<p>AFP in their analysis may have misread those figures. In 1996<br>\nwe had an exceptional \"one off\" abnormal profit of US$6,000,000<br>\nwhich should not be taken into account for comparison with 1997.<br>\nWe actually have a 24.8 percent rise in our operational profit,<br>\nwhile your article mentions a 17 percent drop.<\/p>\n<p>This discrepancy of 42 percent between the two figures is far too<br>\nhigh.
