        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s fifth president and PDIP general chairwoman Megawati\nSoekarnoputri received the Qatari Ambassador to Indonesia, Sultan bin\nMubarak Al-Dosari. Megawati was accompanied by her son, PDIP Deputy\nChairman Prananda Prabowo.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place at Megawati\u2019s residence in Menteng, Jakarta,\non Monday (13\/4\/2026). In addition to Prananda, PDIP Deputy Chairman\nAhmad Basarah and PDIP Policy Research and Analysis Agency Head Andi\nWidjajanto were also present.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati introduced Prananda to the Qatari Ambassador before\nbeginning the dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my son,\u201d said Megawati with a smile.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting lasted for two hours. It concluded with an exchange of\ngifts. I am\nimpressed with the painting collection here,\u201d said the Qatari Ambassador\nwhile pointing to Megawati\u2019s painting.<\/p>\n<p>The Qatari Ambassador stated that Indonesia\u2019s first president\nSukarno, who is also Megawati\u2019s father, is very well-known in the Middle\nEast. He said that the Emir of Qatar has studied much of Indonesia\u2019s\nhistory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Qatari Ambassador said that the names of Mrs Megawati and\nPresident Sukarno are popular in Qatar because the Emir\u2019s wife and the\nEmir\u2019s sister are historians who have studied Indonesian history\nextensively,\u201d said Ahmad Basarah after the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Basarah said that Megawati is the first national figure\nvisited by the Qatari Ambassador besides President Prabowo Subianto.\nBasarah said the Qatari Ambassador also invited Megawati to visit\nQatar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the meeting, the Qatari Ambassador invited Mrs Megawati to dine\nat the ambassador\u2019s residence.
