        "content": "<p>Access to low-cost public housing<\/p>\n<p>From Koran Tempo<\/p>\n<p>With reference to a letter titled Rumah rakyat (public<br>\nhousing), published in Koran Tempo on July 22, we would like to<br>\nclarify the matter as follows:<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta administration has shown its concern over the need<br>\nto help Jakarta residents who have difficulty securing a house or<br>\napartment due to financial problems.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the administration has built low-cost apartments in<br>\nall five municipalities -- Central Jakarta (400 units in<br>\nPejompongan), North Jakarta (100 in Penjaringan), West Jakarta<br>\n(160 in Cengkareng), South Jakarta (120 in Tebet) and East<br>\nJakarta (248 in Cakung).<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, we shall build low-cost apartments in two<br>\nmunicipalities -- East Jakarta (260 at the Pulogadung small-scale<br>\nindustrial center and 1,000 in Tipar Cakung) and North Jakarta<br>\n(260 in Marunda and 500 in Rawa Badak).<\/p>\n<p>There are some requirements for renting low-cost apartments:<\/p>\n<p>a. Indonesian citizenship<\/p>\n<p>b. Being on medium or low income<\/p>\n<p>c. Having a regular income<\/p>\n<p>d. Not owning a house yet<\/p>\n<p>e. Completing an application to rent<\/p>\n<p>f. Possessing a Jakarta ID card, family card, letter from<br>\nsubdistrict authority and marriage certificate<\/p>\n<p>g.
