        "content": "<p>To accelerate the improvement of Islamic economic literacy, the West\nJava Representative Office of Bank Indonesia has launched the book \u201c52\nFriday Sermons on Islamic Economics: Echo of Gaung Eksyar\u201d at the\nPasundan Hall, Bank Indonesia Building in Bandung, on Monday\n(27\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The launch of this book is part of the Superior Preacher Movement for\nIslamic Economics and Finance (Gaung Eksyar) programme. The book was\ncompiled by national calibre experts in Islamic economics and\nfinance.<\/p>\n<p>Among them are Adiwarman Azwar Karim, SE, MBA, MAEP, Prof Dr M Syafii\nAntonio, M.Ec, and KH Muhammad Cholil Nafis, Lc., PhD, and it features\ninnovations such as the use of Sundanese language in some scripts to\nstrengthen the connection of the message with the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis initiative is expected to accelerate the increase in national\nIslamic economic literacy from 50.18 percent in 2025 to 70 percent in\n2030,\u201d said the Head of the West Java Bank Indonesia Representative\nOffice, Muhammad Nur, in a statement on Tuesday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The compilation of this book has received appreciation from national\nfigures, including Prof Dr KH Didin Hafidhuddin and Prof Dr KH Miftah\nFaridl, who consider the book a guiding light for preachers in\ndelivering more applicable Islamic economic da\u2019wah to empower the\ncommunity\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>Nur hopes that preachers and mosque managers can utilise the \u201cGaung\nEksyar\u201d book as a guide for sermons to expand Islamic economic\nliteracy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the general public can actively participate in the\nEconomic Symposium series in Cirebon (21\/5), Tasikmalaya (18\/6), and\nBandung (22\/6) as spaces for conveying aspirations and strengthening\nregional development synergy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the book launch, the occasion also featured the Kick\nOff for the West Java Economic Society (WJES) 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the dynamics of the global economy still shrouded in\nuncertainty, such as energy and food price volatility, global monetary\npolicy changes, and increasing risks of geo-economic fragmentation that\ncould affect trade and investment, West Java\u2019s economy continues to show\nresilient performance with growth reaching 5.32 percent (yoy) in 2025,\nalthough inflationary pressures still need to be monitored with an\nachievement of 3.60 percent (yoy) in March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nur stated that in 2026, West Java\u2019s economy is projected to improve\ncompared to 2025 and be in the range of 4.9-5.7 percent (yoy), driven by\nincreased household consumption, increased investment, and performance\nof key economic sectors such as manufacturing industry, construction,\ntrade, transportation, and financial services.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, inflation is projected to remain controlled within\nthe target of 2.5\u00b11 percent (yoy), with the dynamics of the current year\nalso influenced by government-regulated price adjustment policies.<\/p>\n<p>WJES 2026, he said, is directed as a platform for pentahelix\ncollaboration with the theme \u201cStrengthening Resilience and Economic\nTransformation of West Java for Inclusive and Competitive Growth\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>WJES presents six strategic sub-themes, ranging from green and\ncircular economy, Islamic economy, digital transformation and financial\ninclusion, food security and supply chain resilience, optimisation of\ninvestment and infrastructure, as well as equitable development.<\/p>\n<p>At the same venue, the Governor of West Java Province, Dedi Mulyadi,\nemphasised the importance of forums like WJES as strategic spaces for\ncross-stakeholder collaboration in strengthening the regional\neconomy.<\/p>\n<p>The man familiarly known as KDM appreciated West Java\u2019s economic\ngrowth achievements as well as the role of Bank Indonesia and ISEI in\nmaintaining stability and driving economic transformation.<\/p>\n<p>KDM also stressed that economic growth cannot be viewed merely by\nnumbers; it must also be accompanied by a societal paradigm shift\ntowards a more productive economy.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he emphasised that WJES recommendations must be based on\nfield realities, particularly strengthening village-based production\nsectors, Islamic economy, and green economy, with the spirit of\npentahelix collaboration that he described as \u201cSareunduk saigel\nsabogobot sapikahean\u201d.<\/p>",
