        "content": "<p>Pontianak, VIVA \u2013 PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, is\nstrengthening synergy with stakeholders to accelerate the full\noperations of the Kijing Terminal in Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan,\nparticularly through bolstering infrastructure connectivity and the\nlogistics ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>These efforts were discussed in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with\nministries\/agencies and related stakeholders, followed by a field visit\nto the Kijing Terminal on Tuesday (5\/5). The FGD was attended by\nrepresentatives from the West Kalimantan Provincial Government, Mempawah\nRegency Government, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Public\nWorks, Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning\/National Land\nAgency, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, as well as several\nstate-owned enterprises and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The Director General of Highway Development at the Ministry of Public\nWorks, Roy Rizali Anwar, emphasised that connectivity support,\nparticularly road access to the terminal, is a key factor in optimising\nthe operations of the Kijing Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success of the Kijing Terminal heavily depends on integrated\nconnectivity, especially in terms of road infrastructure,\u201d said Roy,\nquoted from his statement on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that accelerating the construction of road access,\nbridges, and the planned toll road is an important part of supporting\nsmooth logistics flow. \u201cCross-sectoral collaboration is needed,\nincluding in financing schemes involving the government, state-owned\nenterprises, and the private sector. Integrated investment support will\nhelp reduce construction costs and have an impact on more affordable\ntoll tariffs,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n<p>Roy added that the planned toll road development connecting Supadio\nAirport to the Kijing Terminal, spanning approximately 100 kilometres,\nwill strengthen multimodal connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis integration will accelerate logistics flow while enhancing the\ncompetitiveness of the West Kalimantan region,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan, Krisantus\nKurniawan, expressed full support for accelerating the operations of the\nKijing Terminal. \u201cThe existence of the Kijing Terminal is very important\nfor the people of West Kalimantan, especially in driving economic growth\nand smoothing logistics distribution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also emphasised the importance of access development that provides\nbroad benefits to the community. \u201cWe hope that the development of access\nto the Kijing Terminal prioritises public roads, so that the benefits\nare not only for logistics but also for wider community mobility,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Pelindo\u2019s Commercial Director, Farid Padang,\naffirmed the operational readiness of the Kijing Terminal and Pelindo\u2019s\ncommitment to optimising its utilisation.<\/p>",
