Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung has just launched its latest flagship\nphone, the Galaxy S26, featuring enhanced AI capabilities to simplify\ntasks from photo editing to protecting users from suspicious calls.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Samsung Galaxy S26, we call it \u2018the next AI phone\u2019, because it\nunderstands us, so we don\u2019t need to do anything, it can find information\nor it can also simulate something,\u201d said MX Product Marketing Senior\nManager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Ilham Indrawan, during a\nproduct presentation in South Jakarta, Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Samsung Galaxy S26 comes with several leading AI features. First,\nthere is Call Screening, which is useful for protecting users from spam\ncalls and identifying important calls from unknown numbers. If the user\nactivates this feature, Galaxy AI will first answer calls from unknown\nnumbers.<\/p>\n
The AI will ask the caller for their identity and the purpose of\ncontacting the phone owner. A transcript of the conversation between the\nAI and the caller will be displayed on the screen so that the user can\nfind out who and what the caller\u2019s purpose is.<\/p>\n
Then there is Now Nudge, which is able to read the context of use,\nthen display relevant recommendations at the right time without the user\nhaving to search for them manually.<\/p>\n
For example, when a friend asks for a photo of a pet cat via\nWhatsApp, the AI will immediately help by displaying the \u201cShare photos\u201d\noption. When this option is selected, the user will be directed to a\ngallery that already displays a collection of pet cat photos. The photos\nare automatically selected based on location tags and objects in the\nimage.<\/p>\n
In another situation, if the user receives an invitation to play\npadel on Saturday, Now Nudge can recognize the related schedule in the\ncalendar and check for potential schedule conflicts. The keyboard will\nthen display the \u201cView Calendar\u201d option so that the user can immediately\nconfirm their availability.<\/p>\n
In addition, the AI agent Bixby has undergone an update on the\nSamsung Galaxy S26 which will focus on phone performance. Users can\nadjust device performance simply by using ordinary conversational\nlanguage without having to explain technical terms.<\/p>\n
For example, when the phone feels hot, the user can instruct the AI\nby saying, \u201cMy phone suddenly feels hot, can you fix the problem?\u201d Then\nthe phone will automatically trace the cause and resolve the\nproblem.<\/p>\n
Then there is the Creative Studio feature which allows users to\nprocess photos or text prompts to produce visuals such as stickers,\ngreeting cards, or invitations. In this feature, users can also write\npersonal and detailed descriptions for more specific results.<\/p>\n
The Photo Assist feature is now available with significant\nimprovements through natural language editing support. With the addition\nof text prompts, users can edit photos simply by using commands in\neveryday language, including Indonesian.<\/p>\n
