        "content": "<p>99 bodies sent to RSCM in two months<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): As of Monday, Cipto Mangunkusumo General<br>\nHospital records show a total 99 bodies admitted to its morgue<br>\nthis year, of which only seven have been identified by family<br>\nmembers and\/or friends.<\/p>\n<p>The records show the bodies were found in different parts of<br>\nthe capital with various causes of death.<\/p>\n<p>The seven bodies were identified by relatives and friends of<br>\nthe deceased a few days after their remains were admitted to the<br>\nmorgue. Identification revealed that 40-year-old Rasman died<br>\nafter being electrocuted while sitting on the roof of a train;<br>\nSukron, who drowned in Ciliwung River in Jatinegara, East<br>\nJakarta. The other five were murdered, including a transvestite<br>\nidentified as Hugo Yonathan.<\/p>\n<p>Among the unidentified corpses were nine babies, believed to<br>\nbe unwanted by their parents, some of which were buried in a mass<br>\ngrave in Pondok Ranggon, on the outskirts of Jakarta. One of the<br>\nnine was found on Monday in Tambora, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining corpses bore traces of either violent physical<br>\nassault by blunt objects or sharp weapons; a number of bloated<br>\ncorpses indicated the cause of death was either accidentally or<br>\nmurder. One woman's decomposed body was found by a fisherman in<br>\nAncol, North Jakarta, four days after she had been murdered. A<br>\nfisherman found her remains half-naked and her hands tied with<br>\nher clothes.<\/p>\n<p>Signs indicating death due to drug overdose were also present<br>\nin a number of bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Bruises and marks of beating were also found on several<br>\nbodies, including that of the man who was beaten up by an angry<br>\ncrowd following Sunday's murder attempt on the National Awakening<br>\nParty chairman Matori Abdul Djalil in his house in South Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Seven of the unidentified bodies were kept for medical<br>\nstudies, while the remaining were buried in Pondok Ranggon<br>\ncemetery.
