        "content": "<p>Over four years of operation, a warehouse handling illegal\nmotorcycles managed by PT Indobike 26 in Grogol Utara, Kebayoran Lama,\nSouth Jakarta, is suspected of having exported 99,000 motorcycles\nillegally abroad. As a result of this illegal activity, the state is\nestimated to have suffered losses of up to Rp 177 billion. Director of\nGeneral Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Pol\nIman Imanudin, explained that the losses stem from potential lost tax\nrevenue, as thousands of motorcycles allegedly used personal data from\nthe public for financing applications and were not recorded in export\ncustoms duties. In this case, the director of PT Indobike 26, initialled\nWS, has been named as a suspect. Police state that WS acted as the\ncollector, aggregator, and exporter of the motorcycles abroad.\nCurrently, WS is detained at the Metro Jaya Police Detention Centre. He\nis charged with multiple layered articles carrying a maximum penalty of\nsix years\u2019 imprisonment. Additionally, he is charged under Article 35\nand Article 36 of Law No.\u00a042 of 1999 on Fiduciary Guarantees, as well as\nArticle 65 paragraph (2) and Article 67 paragraph (2) of Law No.\u00a027 of\n2022 on Personal Data Protection. Deputy Head of Motor Vehicle\nSubdirectorate at the Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya\nPolice, AKBP Noor Maghantara, said that the motorcycles found in the\nwarehouse are suspected to originate from dealers or individuals.\nAccording to Noor, some vehicles are believed to be the result of\nredirecting vehicles that still have fiduciary guarantees. \u201cThe origin\nof the vehicles is partly suspected to be from the redirection of\nvehicles with fiduciary guarantees. But we are still investigating the\nsource, whether the data owners themselves applied for financing or\nillegal access was used so that the person\u2019s data was used for loans,\u201d\nNoor explained. From the uncovering of this case, police seized a total\nof 1,494 motorcycle units. 957 units were found in intact condition,\nwhile another 537 units had been dismantled into components. Noor stated\nthat both the intact motorcycles and the dismantled components were\nstill in new condition and suspected to be ready for sale abroad.\nObservations at the location showed that several motorcycles were still\nwrapped in plastic on some parts, although others were covered in cement\ndust.<\/p>",
