The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has released the latest data\nregarding the number of detainees who have died within the prisons of\nthe Israeli occupying authorities. Since the beginning of the genocide\nescalation, the number of detainees whose identities have been confirmed\ndead has reached 92.<\/p>\n
Of this total, 53 detainees originate from the Gaza Strip. One of the\nidentities recently confirmed is Moataz Al-Atrash, a detainee from\nHebron.<\/p>\n
In an official statement released on Thursday (17\/9), the PPS\nrevealed that the deaths of these detainees were not without cause. They\ndied as a result of a series of systematic crimes and gross human rights\nviolations committed by the prison authorities.<\/p>\n
The PPS detailed a number of cruel actions experienced by detainees\nthat led to the loss of life.<\/p>\n
In addition to the confirmed data, the PPS provided serious notes\nregarding the fate of other detainees from Gaza. To date, many detainees\nare still declared missing due to the practice of enforced\ndisappearances. Based on testimonies and field data collected, there are\nstrong indications that dozens of other detainees have fallen victim to\ndirect field executions by occupying forces.<\/p>\n
