92 local drivers tackle BSD rally<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): About 92 local rally drivers and their
\nnavigators will take part in the BSD Sprint Rally at Bumi Serpong
\nDamai, Tangerang on Oct. 5.<\/p>\n
The rally is one of the events on the calender of the West
\nJava chapter of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI).<\/p>\n
This year's rally will be at Tachno Park circuit and will be
\nthe eighth held by the West Java IMI.<\/p>\n
The drivers will compete in two special stages covering a
\ntotal distance of 11.5 kilometers.<\/p>\n
Among the local drivers in the BSD Rally will be Reza Pribadi,
\nDandy Rukmana, Roy Nirwan, Danny Rukmana, Irvan Gading Yaldy,
\nRifat Sungkar, Akbar Hadianto, Agus Budianto, Eka Djanaka and M.
\nBintang, Nieko Messa Yudha. They aim to become leading national
\nrally drivers.<\/p>\n
Niko will be driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV, the same car
\nuse by Rifat.<\/p>\n
Rifat, Akbar, Agus and Eka Djanaka are among the local racers
\nwho took part in the Gudang Garam World Rally Championship in
\nMedan last Sunday.<\/p>\n
In the Medan rally, Rifat with navigator W. Danardana scored
\n40 points; Yaldy\/Harry 30 points; Akbar\/Rino S. 24; and Agus\/Rudi
\nSusanto and Eka\/Anjar Rachmanto Suganda scored 15 points in the
\nnational ranking.<\/p>\n
Carlos Sainz with co-driver Luis Moya in a Ford Escort won the
\nMedan rally.<\/p>\n
The Bumi Serpong Damai township management is always ready to
\nhelp make the event a success. It is expected that the BSD rally
\nwill be followed by other townships in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The rally is open both for men and women. For those who want
\nto take part in the one-day rally, registration is still open
\nuntil Sept. 30 at Trendy Promo Mandiri, Jl. Kesehatan 2 No. 5,
\nBintaro. The registration fee is Rp 150,000 per person.<\/p>\n
The organizer expects the rally will attract young racers as
