        "content": "<p>9 SMEs shortlisted for Dji Sam Soe Awards<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Nine small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have been<br>\nselected as finalists in the Dji Sam Soe Awards, a contest<br>\nsponsored by giant cigarette producer PT HM Sampoerna.<\/p>\n<p>The shortlisted SMEs are UD Gallery 76 from Malang and Citra<br>\nMulia Perkasa from Surabaya, both in East Java; two firms from<br>\nWest Java, namely, CV Rumpun Bambu Kreasi (Tasikmalaya) and CV<br>\nSumber Berkat (Tangerang); and five from Yogyakarta, namely<br>\nNdalem Prakaryan Batik, Kangean Desa Restaurant (Sleman), Tom's<br>\nSilver Manufacture (Kota Gede), Timboel Keramik and PT Pancaran<br>\nHarapan Nusa (both from Bantul).<\/p>\n<p>The nominees, whittled down from the approximately 7,000 SMEs<br>\nwhich participated, will give presentations in front of prominent<br>\nbusiness figures such as Eva Riyanti Hutapea and Bob Sadino.<\/p>\n<p>The first, second and third place winners will receive cash<br>\nprizes of Rp 36 million (US$3,913), Rp 27 million and Rp 18<br>\nmillion respectively. -- JP<\/p>",
