        "content": "<p>The number of suspected measles cases in Cianjur Regency, West Java,\nhas reached 804. These cases were reported by primary health facilities\nthrough the Early Warning and Response System (SKDR) application over\nthe period from January to March this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Disease Control and Prevention at the Cianjur Regency\nHealth Office, Javed Sumawe Mataputung, explained that as of week 12\nthis year, 804 suspected measles cases have been recorded. Of these,\nthere are 4 suspected cases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo confirm positivity, we sent 4 samples from suspects or those\nsuspected of measles. So, to confirm whether it is positive for measles\nor not, in addition to observing clinical symptoms, it must also be\nconfirmed by laboratory test results,\u201d he said on Monday (6\/4).<\/p>\n<p>According to laboratory test results, one sample was declared\npositive for measles. Meanwhile, the other three samples were\nnegative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking at the trend analysis of cases based on SKDR, there was a\nfairly high increase in the second and third weeks. However, the number\nof cases has stabilised entering weeks 9 to 12,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Javed explained that the one positive individual was known not to\nhave received measles immunisation or vaccination. In fact, health\nservices at the community health centre level, auxiliary health centres,\nand integrated health posts have provided immunisation services so\nfar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are 48 community health centres in Cianjur Regency. All of\nthem provide immunisation services, including other health facilities\nsuch as auxiliary health centres or integrated health posts,\u201d he\nstressed.<\/p>\n<p>However, he continued, immunisation ultimately depends on public\nawareness. Therefore, the Cianjur Regency Health Office continues to\neducate and socialise the importance of immunisation from an early\nage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor now, we continue to prioritise outreach and education efforts,\nespecially at the community health centre and hospital levels,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>",
