The remission, distributed across prisons, detention centres, and juvenile facilities, includes partial sentence reductions for most recipients and immediate release for 57 individuals, aimed at motivating good behaviour and alleviating overcrowding in facilities that currently hold 16,298 people against a capacity of 10,393.
