        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI recorded 8,125,645\ntransactions for long-distance and local train ticket purchases through\nthe Access by KAI app from 1 January to 31 March 2026. KAI Vice\nPresident of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, stated that this\nfigure does not represent the exact number of passengers, as one booking\ncode can cover multiple passenger names.<\/p>\n<p>These transactions dominated at 76.49% of all channels provided by\nKAI, including sales partners, websites, and counters. \u201cThe ease of\naccess, speed, and service integration allow customers to plan their\njourneys more conveniently in a single app,\u201d she said in a written\nstatement on Monday, 13 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>From January to March 2026, KAI served 128,055,072 passengers, an\nincrease of 9.97% compared to the same period in 2025, which saw\n116,451,006 passengers. Long-distance and local trains served 14,515,350\npassengers, up 18.40% from the first quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Commuter Line service handled 101,382,889 passengers, a rise of\n8.11% from the same period. The LRT Jabodebek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok,\nand Bekasi) served 7,754,946 passengers, up 22.10% compared to the\nprevious year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day, millions of people in various cities rely on the Commuter\nLine to travel from home to work, school, and back,\u201d Anne remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the airport train service accommodated 1,755,275\npassengers, up 8.48%. The LRT South Sumatra served 1,084,242 passengers,\nan increase of 7.38%. The high-speed train, or Whoosh, carried 1,408,815\npassengers, up 4.07%.<\/p>\n<p>The Makassar-Parepare train served 75,421 passengers, a 66.45%\nincrease. Tourist trains recorded 78,134 passengers, up 110.10% from the\nsame period previously.<\/p>\n<p>Anne stated that this growth indicates strengthening public\nconfidence in KAI\u2019s digital services. \u201cAccess by KAI is here to\nfacilitate various travel needs in one app,\u201d she added.<\/p>",
