        "content": "<p>Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Menhaj) Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, known as\nGus Irfan, has reported that 60,000 members of the Indonesian Hajj\npilgrimage have so far returned to Indonesia. He revealed that a number\nof pilgrims encountered issues during their return journey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c156 flight groups, that means around 60,000, about 30 per cent, have\narrived back in the homeland,\u201d said Gus Irfan.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that some pilgrims were temporarily diverted to Oman, but\nthey have now returned to Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndeed, there were some issues yesterday; some had to make a brief\nstopover in Oman, but now everything is running smoothly,\u201d said Gus\nIrfan.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Irfan confirmed that the problems faced were solely\naircraft-related. According to him, there were no issues connected to\nthe situation in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was just aircraft technical issues. There were no technical\nproblems related to the Middle East situation, none at all,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Irfan mentioned that the final flight group of Hajj pilgrims\nwould arrive in the homeland at the start of July. \u201cThe last departure\nis on 30 June, and God willing, the final flight group will arrive in\nthe homeland on 1 July,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Gus Irfan also outlined a number of aspects requiring\nevaluation regarding the implementation of the 2026 Hajj. He stated that\nhealth preparations are a priority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirstly, regarding health, of course. Our health preparations are\nstill far from satisfactory, so this year we will make greater\nimprovements,\u201d said Gus Irfan.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he noted issues with the handling of pilgrims in Mina.\nHe acknowledged that services there were subpar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe second point concerns our operations in Mina. Mina is a limited\narea with a small site, so our performance yesterday was somewhat\nunsatisfactory, but we will improve it next year,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
