The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance
reported that as of Monday, 9 March 2026, 6.68 million taxpayers had
submitted their annual tax returns (SPT) for personal income tax (PPh)
for the 2025 tax year. The DJP is targeting 15 million submissions.

This figure represents an increase compared to data from 1 March,
which recorded 5.1 million SPTs. “Progress in filing annual personal
income tax returns for the period up to 8 March 2026 (Tax Year 2025)
stands at 6,691,081 SPTs,” according to an official DJP statement on
Monday, 9 March 2026.

Coretax account activations have reached 15,616,605. This figure
shows a slight increase compared to 5 March 2026, when 15,268,493
taxpayers were registered.

Previously, the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance,
Bimo Wijayanto, stated that last week the average number of submissions
received through the Coretax system on each working day exceeded
250,000. He expressed hope that the reporting trend would continue to
rise, given that the filing deadline for personal income taxpayers is 31
March whilst corporate taxpayers have until 30 April.

“We are therefore targeting daily taxpayer filing activity to exceed
250,000,” he said during a media briefing in Jakarta on Thursday, 5
March 2026.

He stated that Coretax has been able to anticipate significant daily
reporting surges to date. The DJP has also introduced additional
channels within the Coretax ecosystem: Coretax Form and Coretax Mobile
(M-Pajak). These two channels have been provided to increase inclusivity
and service accessibility, given the continuing differences in digital
literacy amongst the population and limited internet access in certain
regions.

Coretax Form is an additional channel within the DJP’s Coretax system
that can be used for filing annual personal income tax returns for
taxpayers with nil status. Through this facility, taxpayers can download
electronic forms from Coretax, complete them offline, and then upload
the forms back through the system.

Coretax Mobile is a mobile-based tax service application that allows
taxpayers to activate their Coretax DJP accounts and register an
Authorisation Code or Electronic Certificate (KOSE) more conveniently
through their mobile phones.
",
