        "content": "<p>PT KAI Commuter in the Daop 6 Yogyakarta region has recorded a\nsignificant surge in passenger volume, crowding various stations in the\narea during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transportation period. By the third day\nof Eid on Monday, 23 March 2026, the total number of passengers\ntransported since the period began on 13 March reached 552,282 people.\nThis figure consists of 480,270 users of the Yogyakarta-Palur Commuter\nLine and 72,012 users of the Prameks Commuter Line. This number is\nexpected to continue increasing as departure schedules remain available\nuntil late evening. Based on monitoring data up to Monday at 14:00 WIB,\nseasonal users dominated with 48,564 people, including 41,418 passengers\non the Yogyakarta-Palur route and 7,146 on Prameks. \u201cThe highest surge\nso far occurred on the second day of Eid, Sunday, 22 March 2026, with\npassenger volume exceeding 75,782 people,\u201d said Vice President (VP)\nCorporate Secretary of PT KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, on Monday, 23\nMarch 2026. This figure shows a very sharp increase compared to the\nfirst day of Eid on Saturday, 21 March 2026, which recorded 46,986\npassengers. She stated that Yogyakarta Station was the busiest point\nwith a total of 141,916 passengers boarding and alighting, making it the\nstation with the highest volume during the Eid transportation period. In\naddition to its location as the main access to the Malioboro tourism\narea and city centre, the high mobility at this station is also\nsupported by complete intermodal integration. Yogyakarta Station is\nconnected to long-distance trains, YIA Airport Train, Trans Jogja, and\nonline-based transportation services.
