500 low cost houses dedicated<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): State Minister for Public Housing Siswono
\nJudohusodo will dedicate 500 low cost houses today at the Bumi
\nSerpong Damai complex in Tangerang.<\/p>\n
\"The houses are part of the scheduled 1,409 low cost houses
\nnow under construction,\" Bumi Serpong Damai's director, Budiarsa
\nSastrawinata, said. The dedication by the minister, he added, \"is
\npart of a series of events which mark the sixth anniversary of
\nBumi Serpong Damai.\"<\/p>\n
He said Bumi Serpong Damai is developing 6,000 hectares of
\nland in Tangerang, of which 52.7 percent is designed for housing
\ncomplexes of various types. The rest of the land is for
\nfacilities, including sports venues, recreation parks and roads.<\/p>\n
To date, Bumi Serpong Damai has built 4,622 low cost houses,
\n2,692 medium cost houses and 727 luxury houses.<\/p>\n
The development of Bumi Serpong Damai has created hundreds of
\njob opportunities since its inauguration in the late 1980s,
