Despite her short tenure, Nanik claims to have laid\nthe foundation for reforms to improve the governance of the Free\nNutritious Meal (MBG) programme. She announced her resignation via her\npersonal Facebook account on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, explaining that\nher decision was due to health conditions requiring treatment\nabroad.<\/p>\n<p>Before leaving her post, Nanik outlined a number of steps taken\nduring her roughly 45 days leading the BGN. Her main focus was on\nimproving the system, enhancing the quality of the MBG programme\u2019s\nimplementation, and ensuring that aid is genuinely received by the\ngroups that need it.<\/p>\n<p>One of her initial moves was a leadership reshuffle within the\nNational Nutrition Agency. She replaced five echelon I officials\noriginating from various ministries and agencies, including the Ministry\nof Health, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Ministry\nof Finance, the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), and\nthe Attorney General\u2019s Office. According to Nanik, this step was taken\nto ensure the BGN is staffed by human resources with competencies suited\nto their respective fields. She stated that President Prabowo\nSubianto had approved prioritising the programme for groups that are\ntruly in need, namely toddlers, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers,\nprimary and junior high school students, and students in frontier,\noutermost, and disadvantaged (3T) regions. This measure was part of an\nevaluation of the MBG\u2019s implementation to ensure the available budget is\nutilised in a more targeted manner.
