        "content": "<p>The head of the Karangmekar 2 Nutritional Service Unit (SPPG), Nur\nArif Putra Pratama, has issued an apology for the food safety incident\nthat occurred after students and teachers consumed the free nutritious\nmeal (MBG) scheme menu on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nur confirmed that the unit had taken immediate action to address the\nincident. A series of steps were implemented, including coordination\nwith healthcare facilities, medical treatment provided by doctors, and\ncommunication with parents of affected students. \u201cWe provided good\ninformation to parents without causing panic and explained the\nnutritional aspects whilst issuing our apology,\u201d said Nur, as reported\non Friday, 27 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The menu distributed on the day of the incident included onigiri,\nboiled eggs, wheat biscuits, dates, regal biscuits, and milk. By\nWednesday evening, 43 people had been affected and received medical\nexaminations at several hospitals in Cimahi. The reported symptoms\nincluded vomiting occurring two to three times or more. However, no\nserious or critical conditions were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Food samples suspected of causing the incident have been secured for\nlaboratory examination. Nur stated that the unit had reported the\ntimeline of events to the National Nutrition Agency and coordinated with\npolice authorities if further security measures were necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Nur claimed that the food production process had followed Standard\nOperating Procedures (SOP). According to internal reports, raw materials\nwere received on 24 February 2026 at 07.00 WIB and were immediately\nchecked for quality by a nutritionist before being stored in a\nrefrigeration unit.<\/p>\n<p>Food preparation began at 12.30 WIB with a six-step hand-washing\nprocedure, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and rinsing of\ningredients with running water. Chicken was boiled at 13.30 WIB to be\nprocessed into shredded chicken, rice was cooked at 16.00 WIB, and\nonigiri moulding was carried out at 20.30 WIB by volunteers reported to\nbe in good health.<\/p>\n<p>Food distribution took place at 06.50 WIB and was consumed at\napproximately 12.00 WIB. All production processes were stated to be\nunder the supervision of the SPPG head and staff. \u201cThe investigation\ninto the cause of the food quality deterioration is currently being\nconducted together with the Health and Environment Department,\u201d said\nNur.
