The Alliance for Interfaith Harmony has written to the Head of\nBareskrim Polri, Komjen Syahardiantono, rejecting the transfer of the\nreport alleging hate speech by Grace Natalie and others to Polda Metro\nJaya.<\/p>\n
The letter from the 40 Islamic organisations was delivered directly\non Monday (11\/5) today. Gurun Arisastra, representing LBH Syarikat\nIslam\/SEMMI, expressed concern that the case against Ade Armando and\nPermadi Arya alias Abu Janda would no longer be handled by Bareskrim\nPolri.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want this case to continue to be examined at Bareskrim Mabes\nPolri. We reject the transfer to Polda Metro Jaya. That is our concern,\u201d\nhe explained.<\/p>\n
Gurun reasoned that the rejection arose after they received\ninformation about a similar report from another organisation that was\neventually transferred to Polda Metro Jaya by Bareskrim Polri.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he said his side took initial steps to ensure that the\nreport they filed would not face the same situation. He even claimed to\nbe ready to present witnesses for examination by Bareskrim Polri\ninvestigators.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready to coordinate with investigators to present witnesses,\nexperts, and the reporters are also ready to be examined for further\nstatements. That is what we conveyed, and this letter has been\nreceived,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Gurun also urged Bareskrim Polri to process the case promptly. This\nis because there have been many public reports against the three\nindividuals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis has become a national dimension or national situation,\nespecially since this case concerns interfaith harmony and the potential\nof figures who could divide the nation,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
On the same occasion, Syamsul Qomar, Spokesperson for the Alliance of\n40 Islamic Organisations from the KAHMI element, assessed that the\nreport against the three respondents should be processed legally as soon\nas possible.<\/p>\n
Because, he said, there has been no good faith or apology from the\nthree respondents regarding the uploaded video lecture of the 10th and\n12th Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla.<\/p>\n
\u201cUntil now, they do not feel guilty, let alone apologise; they do not\neven feel guilty and believe that what they have conveyed is the truth,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhereas Mr JK feels that his lecture of more than 30 minutes at UGM\nis part of efforts to convey various information about peace both in the\nworld and in Indonesia,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Previously, 40 Islamic organisations under the Alliance for\nInterfaith Harmony officially reported Ade Armando, politician Grace\nNatalie, and Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda to Bareskrim Polri.<\/p>\n
Gurun Arisastra, representing LBH Syarikat Islam\/SEMMI, stated that\nthe reporting was related to the polemic of a clipped video from the\nlecture of the 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK).<\/p>\n
