Djamal, said on Sunday that the <br>\ndecision to reduce the number of buses was due to the decreasing <br>\ndemand from the public on election day.<\/p>\n<p>During the July 5 presidential election, the management <br>\nrecorded only 26,451 passengers. The number was higher compared <br>\nto the April 5 legislative election when only 21,681 passengers <br>\nused the busway. The busway usually served up to 60,000 people on <br>\nworking days.<\/p>\n<p>From 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., only 10 buses will operate at six-<br>\nminute intervals. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., 25 buses will operate at <br>\nfour-minute intervals, and after 1 p.m., all 40 buses will <br>\noperate at three-minute intervals.<\/p>\n<p>However, Irzal said the management could add more buses if <br>\nnecessary. \"We have spared five buses just in case the demand is <br>\nhigher than we predict.\" -- JP<\/p>",
