        "content": "<p>Jakarta - The TNI Military Police Centre (Puspom) has designated four\nmembers of the TNI\u2019s Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) as suspects in\nthe acid attack incident targeting human rights defender and Deputy\nCoordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of\nViolence (KontraS), Andrie Yunus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis morning, I received four individuals suspected of carrying out\nthe assault on Mr Andrie Yunus,\u201d stated TNI Puspom Chief Major General\nYusri Nuryanto during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Jakarta\non Wednesday (18\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The suspects hail from the Navy and Air Force branches.<\/p>\n<p>Yusri explained that two of the four suspected perpetrators served as\nthe executors in the acid attack.<\/p>\n<p>These two executors are the individuals whose faces were captured in\nCCTV footage.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the roles of the other two suspects are still being probed\nby Puspom TNI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, we are also still investigating the motive behind these four\nsuspected perpetrators,\u201d said Yusri.<\/p>\n<p>Based on preliminary examinations, the suspects are charged under\nArticle 467 paragraphs (1) and (2) of Law No.\u00a01 of 2023 on the Criminal\nCode (KUHP).<\/p>\n<p>This article pertains to planned assault.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are paragraphs 1 and 2, where the penalties are already\nstipulated, with some carrying 4 years and others 7 years,\u201d revealed\nYusri.<\/p>",
