After a long stressful day at the office, Jakarta citizens
\nstill have to face traffic jams when they are going home for no
\napparent reason, despite the 3-in-1 rule for private cars on
\ncertain roads.<\/p>\n
One can witness how the jams have affected not only
\nconventional roads but even also toll roads, so that road users
\nhave to queue up before they can pay tolls and enter freeways.<\/p>\n
In my observation, the congestion is the result of the
\npresence of too many private cars and the operation of public
\ntransportation vehicles that are no longer roadworthy.<\/p>\n
If the 3-in-1 rule is less effective, should the requirement
\nbe toughened up to become 4-in-1? Or it may be necessary to
\nrestrict private car ownership based on the size of a family.<\/p>\n
Personally I support the Transjakarta busway transport because
\nit has proven to be effective. I suggest that busway routes be
\nfurther expanded without delay.<\/p>\n
