3,000 to take part in Terry Fox Run<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): About 3,000 people are expected to participate
\nin the third annual Terry Fox Run in Jakarta on Sept. 14,
\nstarting and finishing at the Regent Hotel on Jl. HR. Rasuna
\nSaid, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The people taking part in the fun run event are expected to
\nmake their contribution, which will later be donated to the
\nIndonesian Cancer Foundation for cancer research programs.<\/p>\n
The organizing committee, which consists of representatives
\nfrom the Canadian Embassy, the Indonesian Cancer Foundation, the
\nRegent Hotel and other organizations, said that registration will
\nopen at 5:30 a.m. and the run starts at 7 a.m.<\/p>\n
In this third year of the Terry Fox Run about Rp 167.8 million
\n(US$63,320) has been raised by the Jakarta community for the
\ncancer foundation. This event is not only aimed at raising money
\nto help against cancer, but at raising awareness of the danger of
\ncancer as well, the committee said.<\/p>\n

\nClub at the Regent Hotel or at the Indonesian Cancer Foundation
