The initiative aims to distribute traffic volume away from peak days, predicted for 24, 28, and 29 March 2026, with over 285,000 vehicles expected on the busiest day. Authorities, including the Minister of Transportation and National Police Traffic Corps Chief, urge travellers to avoid peak times, ensure vehicle readiness, and utilise real-time monitoring tools for safer journeys.

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is providing a 30% discount on
toll fares during the return flow period of Eid al-Fitr 2026. This fare
reduction applies for two days, namely 26-27 March 2026, on nine toll
roads of the Jasa Marga Group for continuous journeys. The nine Jasa
Marga toll roads in question include the Cipularang Toll Road,
Padaleunyi Toll Road, Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Layang MBZ Toll Road,
Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road, Semarang Section
ABC Toll Road, Belmera Toll Road, and MKTT Toll Road. Jasa Marga
President Director Rivan A. Purwantono stated that the toll fare
discount during the return flow is given on 26-27 March 2026. “We also
remind travellers to take advantage of the 30% toll fare discount during
the return flow period for two days, namely on 26-27 March 2026, on 9
Jasa Marga Group toll roads with continuous journeys,” said Rivan,
quoted from an official statement on Monday (23/03/2026). He explained
that the purpose of the toll fare discount is to distribute traffic
volume so that it does not concentrate on the peak return flow. In
facing the return flow, Jasa Marga is strengthening services on main
toll roads by optimising toll gates, preparing service fleets, and
conducting situational traffic management. Traffic monitoring is also
carried out in real-time through the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center
(JMTC), supported by information dissemination via the Travoy
application, call centre 133, and Radio Travoy FM. The public is urged
to ensure vehicle and driver conditions are in top shape, get sufficient
rest at rest areas, and confirm adequate fuel and electronic money
balance before entering the toll road. Minister of Transportation Dudy
Purwagandhi urged the public to avoid the peak return flow, predicted to
occur on 24, 28, and 29 March 2026. “Based on calculations we obtained
at JMTC, the peak return flow is predicted to fall on Tuesday, 24 March
2026, with an estimated volume of more than 285,000 vehicles. This
number is larger than the outbound peak on 18 March 2026 at 270,315
vehicles,” said Dudy. He added that avoiding the peak return flow is
necessary to make traffic distribution more even and public travel more
comfortable. In line with that, National Police Traffic Corps Chief Agus
Suryonugroho mentioned there are three peak return flows that travellers
need to anticipate. “We predict those three days will be the peak return
flow of Eid al-Fitr 2026. We urge the public to avoid those peak return
flow times so that the outbound flow service runs safely, comfortably,
and securely,” said Agus.
",
