        "content": "<p>A total of 26,692 combined personnel have been mobilised for the\nKetupat Lodaya 2026 operation. West Java Police Chief (Kapolda) Rudi\nSetiawan stated that the combined personnel come from the provincial\npolice headquarters (Polda), district police offices (Polres), the\nIndonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and other relevant agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The breakdown comprises 2,440 personnel from the West Java Police,\n12,657 personnel from district police offices, and 11,595 personnel from\nthe Indonesian National Armed Forces and various other agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the involvement of tens of thousands of personnel, it is hoped\nthat the security of holiday travel and return journeys during Eid\nal-Fitr in West Java can proceed safely, smoothly, and harmoniously,\u201d\nRudi stated in a written statement on Friday, 13 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He made these remarks during a Multi-Sectoral Coordination Meeting\nfor the Ketupat Lodaya 2026 operation at the Traffic Management\nDirectorate Auditorium of the West Java Police headquarters in Bandung\non Tuesday, 10 March.<\/p>\n<p>The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) fully supports the\nimplementation of the Ketupat Lodaya 2026 operation to ensure smooth\nholiday travel and return journeys during Eid al-Fitr.<\/p>\n<p>West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan hopes that all stakeholders\ninvolved in the Ketupat Lodaya 2026 operation will strengthen\ncoordination across various sectors, ranging from traffic management to\npublic services.<\/p>\n<p>Several priorities for the Ketupat Lodaya 2026 operation include\ntraffic management and engineering on major holiday routes, readiness of\nroad infrastructure, and security at crowded areas such as places of\nworship, bus terminals, train stations, ports, and tourist\ndestinations.<\/p>\n<p>Erwan also emphasised the importance of healthcare service readiness\nand disaster mitigation, including the provision of weather information\nto the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpdates on data and public outreach regarding weather conditions for\nthose planning holiday travel must be conducted properly, on both daily\nand hourly bases. This will enable the public to determine safe travel\ntimes,\u201d Erwan said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the government will ensure the availability of\nessential commodities, energy, and other public services during the Eid\nal-Fitr holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInshaallah we will continue to conduct inspections, not only\nregarding holiday travel but also the availability of essential\ncommodities, energy, and other public services,\u201d Erwan stated.<\/p>\n<p>Erwan explained that West Java has the largest population in\nIndonesia, with a total of approximately 50.7 million people. Of this\nfigure, approximately 97.3% or more than 49 million people are Muslim,\nmaking West Java one of the main transit routes for holiday travellers\nevery year.<\/p>\n<p>Erwan noted that these conditions present unique challenges in\nmanaging traffic, security, public order, and public services during the\nEid holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data presented at the meeting, approximately 21.52% of\nnational holiday travellers, or around 30.97 million people, originate\nfrom West Java and travel outside the province.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, holiday travellers entering West Java are estimated to\nreach 15.90%, or approximately 25.09 million people.<\/p>",
