        "content": "<p>24 traffickers sent to Nusakambangan<\/p>\n<p>BANDARLAMPUNG, Lampung: Lampung authorities quietly transferred<br>\n24 Acehnese convicted drug traffickers from Rajabasa prison in<br>\nBandar Lampung to Nusakambangan prison in Cilacap, Central Java,<br>\nlast Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Police authorities said the convicts, who were sentenced to<br>\nbetween five and 20 years imprisonment, were not informed<br>\nbeforehand of the transfer. And it is unclear if the convicts'<br>\nfamilies have been informed of the transfer.<\/p>\n<p>The 24 men were arrested attempting to transport a large<br>\namount of marijuana from Aceh to Jakarta, via the Bakauheni Port<br>\nin Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>Bandar Lampung Police chief Sr. Com. Bung Djono said on<br>\nThursday the transfer of the prisoners was meant as a form of<br>\n\"shock therapy\" for drug traffickers and dealers in Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>\"They were caught transporting dozens of kilograms of dried<br>\nmarijuana from Aceh to Jakarta,\" Bung Djono said.<\/p>\n<p>However, he declined to answer questions about whether the 24<br>\nwere members of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM), a secessionist<br>\nmovement that has been fighting for an independent Aceh since the<br>\n1970s.-- JP<\/p>",
