        "content": "<p>A head-on collision between two TransJakarta buses on the elevated\nCorridor 13 route in Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, left dozens\nof passengers injured, two of whom sustained bone fractures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are currently 23 recorded victims, all with minor injuries,\u201d\nJakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Budi\nHermanto told reporters on Monday (23\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The injured were passengers on a TransJakarta bus travelling from\nCipulir to Kebayoran Lama. The victims have been taken to hospital for\ntreatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraffic officers are currently evacuating victims to the nearest\nhospital for treatment and conducting a crime scene investigation as\nwell as managing traffic,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Deputy Director of Law Enforcement at the Jakarta\nMetropolitan Police Traffic Directorate, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ojo\nRuslani, said the TransJakarta bus driven by a man identified as A was\npacked with passengers as it coincided with the morning commute.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 23 injured were passengers travelling from Cipulir to Kebayoran\n\u2014 the bus was full because people were heading to work,\u201d Ojo said.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 23 injured passengers, two sustained bone fractures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo people with fractures were taken to Sari Asih Hospital in\nCiledug,\u201d Ojo said.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at approximately 07:15 local time. It involved\na TransJakarta Bianglala bus driven by a man identified as Y, heading\nfrom Kebayoran towards Cipulir, and a TransJakarta Mayasari Bakti bus\ndriven by A, heading from Cipulir to Kebayoran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt exactly 07:15 local time, Y admitted he had fallen asleep \u2014 he\nwas drowsy \u2014 and the bus he was driving veered into A\u2019s lane. It was\npossibly due to fatigue,\u201d Ojo explained.<\/p>\n<p>TransJakarta Response<\/p>\n<p>TransJakarta issued a statement following the incident, offering an\napology to the victims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransJakarta sincerely apologises for the accident involving\noperator fleet buses BMP 263 and MYS 17100 on Corridor 13 (the Swadarma\nsection towards Cipulir) this morning (23\/2),\u201d said TransJakarta Head of\nPublic Relations and CSR Ayu Wardhani on Monday (23\/2).<\/p>\n<p>TransJakarta evacuated passengers to the nearest stop. The exact\nnumber of passengers on the buses and full details of injuries were not\nyet available, but TransJakarta confirmed that injured passengers had\nreceived medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur primary focus right now is ensuring customer safety. Officers\ncarried out a rapid evacuation to the nearest stop, and customers with\nminor injuries have received treatment,\u201d she said.<\/p>",
