        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The 2027 Eid al-Fitr period can now be planned\nfollowing the government\u2019s determination of the national holiday and\ncollective leave calendar for next year. This designation serves as a\nguide for the public wishing to organise homecoming travel, holidays, or\nfamily gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>The government has established 18 national holidays and 8 days of\ncollective leave for 2027 through a Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB)\ninvolving the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Manpower,\nand the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic\nReform.<\/p>\n<p>Eid al-Fitr 2027 Schedule<\/p>\n<p>Based on the decree, Eid al-Fitr 1448 Hijriah is set for Wednesday\nand Thursday, 10\u201311 March 2027, as national holidays. Meanwhile, the\ngovernment has designated collective leave for Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday, 9\nMarch, Friday, 12 March, and Monday, 15 March 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, the sequence of holidays related to Eid 2027 is as\nfollows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Monday, 8 March 2027: Nyepi Day (Hindu New Year)<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Tuesday, 9 March 2027: Eid al-Fitr collective leave<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Wednesday, 10 March 2027: Eid al-Fitr national holiday<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Thursday, 11 March 2027: Eid al-Fitr national holiday<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Friday, 12 March 2027: Eid al\u2019Fitr collective leave<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Saturday, 13 March 2027: Weekend<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Sunday, 14 March 2027: Weekend<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Monday, 15 March 2027: Eid al-Fitr collective leave<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This arrangement provides the public with the opportunity to enjoy a\ncontinuous long holiday of up to 10 days, if counting the weekends\nbefore and after the Nyepi and Eid sequences. This period begins on\nSaturday, 6 March 2027, and ends on Monday, 15 March 2027, encompassing\nweekends, Nyepi, Eid national holidays, and Eid collective leave.<\/p>\n<p>However, the number of effective holidays for each worker may vary,\nas the implementation of collective leave depends on the specific\nregulations of each institution or company.<\/p>\n<p>2027 Collective Leave List<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Eid al-Fitr, the government has set eight days of\ncollective leave throughout 2027. These include Friday, 5 February for\nLunar New Year 2578 Kongzili; 9, 12, and 15 March for Eid al-Fitr 1448\nHijriah; Thursday, 25 March for Good Friday; Tuesday, 18 May for Eid\nal-Adha 1448 Hijriah; Wednesday, 19 May for Vesak Day 2571 BE; and\nFriday, 24 December for Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the government has established 18 national holidays for\n2027. Aside from Eid al-Fitr, other red dates include New Year 2027 on 1\nJanuary, Isra Mi\u2019raj on 5 January, Lunar New Year on 6 February, Nyepi\non 8 March, Good Friday on 26 March, Easter on 28 March, Labour Day on 1\nMay, Ascension Day on 6 May, Eid al-Adha on 17 May, Vesak Day on 20 May,\nPancasila Day on 1 June, Islamic New Year on 6 June, Prophet Muhammad\u2019s\nBirthday on 15 August, Indonesian Independence Day on 17 August,\nChristmas on 25 December, and Isra Mi\u2019raj on 26 December.<\/p>\n<p>Is the Eid date final?<\/p>\n<p>Although the Joint Ministerial Decree lists 10 and 11 March 2027 as\nthe national holidays for Eid al-Fitr 1448 Hijriah, the government noted\nthat the official determination of the dates for 1 Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr,\nand Eid al-Adha will still be made through a Decree from the Minister of\nReligious Affairs.
