        "content": "<p>TNI Doctrine Development, Education, and Training Command Chief\nLieutenant General M. Naudi Nurdika noted in a statement on Saturday the\ndrill was aimed at strengthening the capacity of paratroopers from the\nfive countries to conduct safe and precise airborne maneuvers.<\/p>\n<p>Nurdika added the training involved two TNI Hercules C-130 aircraft,\nsupported by three Hercules aircraft deployed by the US Air Force, which\nalso operated a KC-130 tanker aircraft for the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 110 TNI soldiers, 147 US paratroopers, 40 Indian military\nparachutists, 17 Japanese personnel, and six French jumpers conducted\nstatic-line jumps in turns from an altitude of 1,200 feet over the\nBaturaja landing area in Ogan Komering Ulu District.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Indonesian marines conduct shooting drill with US,\nJapan, South Korea<\/p>\n<p>Nurdika further explained the joint airborne training was designed to\nenhance troops\u2019 tactical capabilities to infiltrate enemy lines directly\nfrom the air.<\/p>\n<p>He added the activity also served as a vital means for the five\ncountries to synchronise procedures and test their ability to mount\nimmediate joint operations in response to regional crises or\ncontingencies.<\/p>\n<p>The officer highlighted this year\u2019s Super Garuda Shield exercise is\ntaking place in several strategic regions across Indonesia, including\nJakarta, Bandung, Lampung, and North Kalimantan, emphasising the annual\nevent\u2019s extensive training modules.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Super Garuda Shield 2026: TNI, US Army conduct night\nflight training<\/p>\n<p>Also participating in the multinational exercise are Australia, the\nNetherlands, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, the United Kingdom, Italy,\nGermany, Cambodia, Canada, South Korea, Laos, New Zealand, Singapore,\nThailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis exercise also represents a manifestation of Indonesia\u2019s defense\ndiplomacy intended to maintain stability, security, and peace across the\nIndo-Pacific region,\u201d Nurdika concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The exercise series began on August 31 and is scheduled to conclude\non Sept 11.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Multinational forces conduct medevac drill at Super\nGaruda Shield 2026<\/p>\n<p>Translator: E.
