2,000 people in Tangerang malnourished<\/p>\n
TANGERANG: Over 2,000 people in the Tangerang regency, most of
\nthem children under the age of five, are suffering from
\nmalnutrition, Regent Agus Djunara said on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Agus said the local health agency had ordered the local
\ngovernment-owned hospital and all community health centers in the
\nregency to provide free treatment, including medication, for all
\nthose suffering from malnutrition.<\/p>\n
The state of Victoria in Australia used to donate milk and
\nfood to people in the regency, but the donations were stopped
\nthis year, Agus said.<\/p>\n
The regent called upon non-governmental organizations to
\nassist those suffering from malnutrition.<\/p>\n
Cases of malnutrition have been found in the districts of
\nMauk, Sepatan, Cisoka, Pakuhaji, Kosambi, Rajeg, Teluknaga,
\nKronjo and Kresek. Most of these districts are located along the
