200 to join Bandung road racing meet<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): More than 200 racers from various cities are
\nexpected to join the second leg of the national road racing
\nchampionships on the Gazebo circuit, Bandung, slated for March
\n25-26.<\/p>\n
Racing official Dolly Indra Nasution said the main event will
\nfeature underbone tune-up 110cc class, standard 110c class and
\n150cc class for beginners with a total cash prizes of Rp6 million
\n(US$2,707) on offer.<\/p>\n
\"The Yamaha and Suzuki teams have confirmed they will field
\ntheir best racers,\" organizing secretary Faryd Sungkar told
\nreporters on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Edmond Cho, manager of the Yamaha team, said the racers his
\nteam would field would include Petrus, Ade Taruna, Akhmad Jayadi,
\nNoval and Pieter Tanujaya, who is best known here as crosser.<\/p>\n
Imanuddin, deputy manager of the Suzuki team, said Asep
\nHendro, who ranks first at the championships' first leg, Dicky
\nSetiawan, Felix and Kery Utama, all of whom come from Jakarta,
\nwill be among the racers his team will rely on.<\/p>\n
Farid said Irwan Oktavian, who won 155cc standard, has
\nconfirmed entry along with Imron from Surabaya and winner of
\n135cc division, Guntur Indrajayanata.<\/p>\n
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth legs of the Bentoel
\nInternational road race will be held in Solo on April 29-30, in
\nSurabaya on June 17-18, in Banjarmasin on Sept. 2-3 and in
\nPalembang on Sept 30 to Oct. 1 respectively. In the final leg in
\nPalembang, the best ten will compete for a total cash prize of Rp
\n20 million.<\/p>\n
At the first leg in Jakarta, Asep Hendro from Bandung came as
\nthe winner for tune-up 110cc with 20 points, followed by Dicky
\nSetiawan of Jakarta with 17 points and Felix Muhamad of Jakarta
