        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 200 delegates from 61 schools in the\nJabodetabek region and surrounding areas participated in the Asia Youth\nInternational Model United Nations (AYIMUN) Presents Al-Muhajirien MUN,\nheld on 11-12 April 2026 in Bekasi, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>The event was organised by the International Global Network (IGN) in\ncollaboration with Yayasan Waqaf Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai, and was\nattended by the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen)\nAbdul Mu\u2019ti as well as Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement from Jakarta on Sunday, IGN President Muhammad\nFahrizal stated that the Model United Nations (MUN) is more than just a\nsimulation and represents a transformative learning experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough MUN, students are confronted with global issues, diverse\nperspectives, and real-world diplomacy. Participation in programmes like\nAYIMUN demonstrates initiative, global awareness, critical thinking, and\ncommunication skills,\u201d said Fahrizal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAGILE is part of our larger Global Perspectives programme, with the\nfinal assessment following the Al-Muhajirien MUN programme, serving as a\nplatform to apply those skills in practice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Mendikdasmen Abdul Mu\u2019ti expressed support for\nthe International Global Network and efforts to strengthen the capacity\nof the younger generation through activities like MUN.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister also shared experiences on the power of dreams and\nmotivated all delegates not to fear dreaming big.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that the Al-Muhajirien MUN featured two councils: the\nUnited Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization\n(UNESCO) with the topic \u201cTackling Cyberbullying: Ensuring Safe and\nFriendly Online Spaces for Students\u201d and the World Health Organization\n(WHO) with the topic \u201cSafeguarding Indigenous Knowledge of Traditional\nMedicine While Ensuring Scientific Validation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Each session attended by the delegates was also guided by experienced\nmoderators or chairs, ensuring the discussions ran smoothly and\ninteractively.<\/p>\n<p>The chairs present at the conference included Fatima Massa from\nSpain, Zara Pang from Malaysia, and Paris Crishen Liu and Hino Samuel\nJose, both from Indonesia.<\/p>",
