        "content": "<p>20 Prestasi cabs fail test<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Some 24 cabs, including 20 from Prestasi Taxi,<br>\nhave failed a feasibility test conducted by the City Land<br>\nTransportation and Traffic Control Office in February.<\/p>\n<p>According to data released by the office on Tuesday, two cabs<br>\nfrom Primajasa Taxi, one from Sri Medali and one from Royal City<br>\nTaxi were the remaining others which failed the test.<\/p>\n<p>The cabs failed the test because of faulty taxi meters and<br>\npoor air conditioners.<\/p>\n<p>Taxis and other public vehicles must undergo annual tests as a<br>\nrequirement to obtaining a one-year operating permit.<\/p>\n<p>At least 6,000 cabs operate here and some of them still use<br>\nthe old fare with a flagfall of Rp 2,000 while others apply the<br>\nnew rate of Rp 3,000.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the cabs that failed the tests were old sedans.
