        "content": "<p>The Aceh Government has launched a free homecoming programme to\nassist the public, announced Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf (known as\nMualem) in Banda Aceh on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor flagged off the first convoy for the Aceh Government\u2019s\nfree homecoming programme and distributed welfare allowances to orphaned\nchildren at the Trans Koetaradja Depot, Banda Aceh\u2019s Class A\nTerminal.<\/p>\n<p>The Aceh Transportation Agency has prepared 122 vehicles comprising\n27 large buses and 95 Hiace minibuses across 18 routes to various\ndistricts and cities in Aceh, particularly regions previously affected\nby hydrometeorological disasters.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor emphasised that the free homecoming programme is\ndesigned to assist the public in managing high travel costs whilst\nreducing reliance on private vehicles, which could increase road\naccident risks during the Eid holiday travel period.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is also expected to support regional inflation control\nby ensuring smooth distribution and public mobility during the Idul\nFitri holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Mualem reminded drivers to exercise caution whilst\ndriving and prioritise passenger safety during their journeys. \u201cIf\ntired, rest. Our regards to families in their hometowns,\u201d Mualem\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to Faisal, public enthusiasm for the programme has been\nconsiderable, evident from 3,328 registered participants through the\nonline registration system at seulamat.dishubaceh.com, whilst only 2,070\nquota places are available for land transport.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the Aceh Government\u2019s services, this year\u2019s free homecoming\nprogramme also receives support from the Ministry of Transport and\nstate-owned enterprises through land transport services with\napproximately 709 quota places.<\/p>\n<p>For archipelago areas, free homecoming services are provided through\nmaritime transport with eight shipping routes using ro-ro and fast\nferries, offering a total capacity of 3,642 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith support from various parties, the total free homecoming quota\navailable in Aceh this year reaches 6,421 people,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
