19 Poso riot suspects arrested<\/p>\n
POSO, Central Sulawesi: Security personnel have arrested 19
\nalleged rioters involved in the Poso riots which first broke out
\non May 23, an official said on Friday.<\/p>\n
\"The 19 suspects, six of whom belong to the Muslim camp and 13
\nothers from a Christian group, were arrested in seperate
\noperations in the past two days,\" Poso Police chief Supt. Djasman
\nB. Opu said as quoted by Antara.<\/p>\n
According to Djasman, members of the Muslim (also known as
\nWhite) camp were apprehended when they were assembling weapons in
\nKayamanya subdistrict in Poso Kota.<\/p>\n
While their rivals, the Christian \"Red\" camp were arrested at
\nPandayora village in Pamona Selatan district when they tried to
\nleave the compound on a vehicle, the officer said.<\/p>\n
Dozens of home-made guns and explosives as well as sharp
\nweapons were seized in the raids.<\/p>\n
\"We're determined to capture all rioters, despite their
\nreligious or ethnic background,\" he said.(edt)<\/p>",
