133 bus drivers ticketed<\/p>\n
CIREBON, West Java: Cirebon Police in West Java have punished
\nat least 133 inter-city bus drivers for breaching various traffic
\nregulations in the city.<\/p>\n
At least five of them had their operational licenses revoked
\nfor serious breaches revealed during traffic inspections, known
\nas 'Zebra Lodaya 2002' on buses passing along the city's roads.<\/p>\n
The revocations were made as the drivers had committed similar
\nviolations many times, Cirebon Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr.
\nSiswandi said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He said the police also revoked the driving licenses of the
\nfive bus drivers.<\/p>\n
Siswandi said the 133 buses belong to at least 42 state-owned
\nand private operators.<\/p>\n
Of the 42 bus operators, state-owned bus firm Damri was the
\nmost persistent violator of traffic regulations, he added.<\/p>\n
The violations included passing main roads in the city center
\nat times when a ban on buses and other large vehicles was in
