Thirteen private companies and business entities in West Aceh have committed to the Maganghub 2026 internship programme, a sharp increase from the previous year. The programme aims to provide local residents with six months of real industry experience, a living allowance, and professional certification. The local government is working to overcome corporate hesitancy to meet a target of 70 per cent local workforce absorption.

The Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Aceh
Regency has recorded that 13 local companies are now ready to support
the Maganghub 2026 programme, as an effort to make it easier for the
public to obtain job opportunities. “To date, 13 private companies and
business entities in West Aceh have stated their willingness to open
internship vacancies. This figure has jumped sharply compared to the
implementation in 2025, which was sluggish because it was not yet
mandatory for the business sector,” said Aryo Brotoseno, Head of the
Manpower Division at the West Aceh Disnakertrans, in Meulaboh on
Thursday. Companies that have confirmed their participation in absorbing
local interns through the Maganghub 2026 platform in West Aceh Regency
include PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara (PT ASN), Hotel Parkside Meuligoe,
Hotel Portola Tiara, PT MTS, and PT Agro Makmur Utama (PT AMM). Others
include PT Sapta, PT Gading Bhakti, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPjamsostek),
BPJS Kesehatan, PT Mon Jambee 2, PT PFU, PT Mifa Bersaudara, and PT
Berkat Prima Lancar. Aryo explained that in 2025, the internship
programme was not optimal because there was no absolute obligation
(mandatory) from the ministry for companies, so the local government
only recorded five agencies that were involved. “However, in 2026, after
approaching them through the media, inviting success testimonials from
predecessor companies, and directly writing to business actors, the
response has increased dramatically to 13 companies,” he said. The
registration deadline for corporations wishing to join the Maganghub
ecosystem will close on 15 July 2026. Aryo acknowledged that in the
process of inviting local corporations, his party still often encounters
various obstacles and rejections with various technical reasons from
management, such as office facility readiness, limited employee housing,
mine locations, and confidential internal company policies.
Nevertheless, the West Aceh Disnakertrans continues to convince them
that the programme’s impact is very significant for regional economic
growth. Through Maganghub 2026, participants will gain six months of
real work experience in the industry, relief from independently bearing
family living costs through a stipend, and official certification from
the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) under the Ministry
of Manpower. This simultaneously answers the classic complaint of the
business world, which always requires work experience for new
applicants. “This is a real link and match concept. We have abundant
graduates from local universities such as UTU, STAIN, AKN, and Teuku
Umar University Meulaboh. This programme is the answer so that the
target of absorbing 70 per cent of local workers, as hoped by the
Regent, can be fulfilled together,” Aryo added. The success of this
apprenticeship programme is not just a discourse. Aryo cited an example
from the previous period at PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara (ASN), where out
of a total of 14 interns sent, three participants have now been directly
offered employment contracts by the company after being assessed as
having capable performance and competence during the internship period.
This proves that the Maganghub scheme is effective as a gateway to
employment for local youth, even if the company was not initially
opening formal vacancies. The West Aceh Disnakertrans urges all elements
of the media and the public to continue overseeing, disseminating, and
utilising this registration momentum before the 15 July 2026 deadline to
create a more productive and competitive work ecosystem in West
Aceh.
",
