        "content": "<p>During the Idul Adha holiday from 27 to 29 May 2026, the West Java\nTourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) recorded 116,026 tourists\nvisiting 162 tourist destinations across the province. The high number\nof visitors indicates that West Java\u2019s tourism sector remains a top\nchoice for the public to spend their holidays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis data shows that tourist movement in West Java was strong during\nthe Idul Adha holiday, with visitors spread across various destinations\nand positively impacting the regional economy, particularly in the\ntourism sector and related industries,\u201d said West Java Tourism and\nCulture Department Head Iendra Sofyan on Monday (1\/6).<\/p>\n<p>Bogor Leads<\/p>\n<p>According to Iendra, based on the Tourism and Culture Information\nSystem (Siparbud), Bogor Regency recorded the highest number of tourists\nat 20,493 during the monitoring period.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of tourist origins, domestic tourists dominated the visits,\nwith 114,432 domestic visitors to various destinations in West Java,\nmostly from the province itself. Foreign tourists numbered 1,797,\npredominantly from Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding destinations, the most visited was Agrowisata Gunung Mas\nin Bogor Regency with 8,195 visitors, followed by Wisata Bahari with\n6,579, Pangandaran Beach with 5,436, Bogor Botanical Gardens with 5,154,\nand At-Taqwa Grand Mosque with 4,943,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Disparbud, Iendra said, continues to monitor tourist movements\nthrough real-time reporting systems to ensure service quality and safety\nat tourist sites. He praised all destination managers and local\ngovernments for their active reporting, stating that the data serves as\na basis for evaluation and future tourism development strategies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPositivity in tourist trends during the Idul Adha holiday is\nexpected to continue in subsequent holiday periods to drive economic\ngrowth and improve the welfare of communities around tourist\ndestinations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Favourite Destinations<\/p>\n<p>In Bandung\u2019s Braga area, it remains one of the favourite spots\ncrowded with visitors throughout the weekend. Tourists filled Jalan\nBraga to enjoy the historic atmosphere characterised by classic-style\nbuildings and preserved old-town ambiance.<\/p>\n<p>Hendri (34), a tourist from Jakarta, said he specifically visited\nBraga for its distinct atmosphere compared to other tourist spots. The\nwell-preserved old buildings create a foreign-like feel, ideal for\nwalking and taking photos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBesides enjoying the old-town ambiance, there are plenty of dining\noptions from cafes and restaurants to street vendors. A variety of\ntrendy snacks are easily found in Braga, plus the cool air makes it\ncomfortable for strolling and exploring Bandung,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Average hotel occupancy rates during the Nataru holiday period stood\nat around 32%.<\/p>",
