The\nevacuation was carried out to protect residents from the thick smoke\nstill blanketing the affected area.<\/p>\n<p>As of Saturday, joint firefighting teams continue to battle the\nblaze. Abdul Muhari, Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and\nCommunication Centre, stated that the evacuation was a precautionary\nmeasure against the health risks posed by the smoke. \u201c102 residents have\nbeen evacuated to avoid the dangers of smoke exposure from the burning\nwaste material,\u201d he said in a report from Jakarta on Saturday. He added\nthat joint personnel are continuing their efforts to bring the fire\nunder control.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to firefighting operations, the BNPB has ensured that\nhealth services remain available for affected residents.
