        "content": "<p>101 golfers from 20 countries to compete in Kosaido Open<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A total of 101 golfers from 20 countries will<br>\ncompete in the US$100,000 Kosaido Ladies Indonesia Open golf<br>\nchampionship from Feb. 15 to Feb. 17 in Pandaan, a small town<br>\n60km south of Surabaya.<\/p>\n<p>Winner of last year's Kosaido Circuit, Lisa Hackney of the<br>\nUnited Kingdom, the 1994 Thailand Open champion Liz Earley of<br>\nCanada and last year's Malaysia Open champion Corrine Dibnah of<br>\nAustralia are among the participants.<\/p>\n<p>Hosts Indonesia will field three amateur golfers, Gunaningsih<br>\nUtomo, Yati Yoenis and Jamillah.<\/p>\n<p>However, Retno Mustari, the best Indonesian female golfer and<br>\nwinner of the 1994 Indonesian Ladies amateur golf championship,<br>\nwill not take part because she wants to focus on her studies.<\/p>\n<p>The championship, to be held on the par 72, 5,637-meter course<br>\nof the Finna golf and country club, offers $13,500 in prize money<br>\nto the winner.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day event is the third leg of this year's Kosaido<br>\nLadies Golf Circuit which started in Chinese Taipei's Chang Gung<br>\ngolf and country club from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3. The second leg is<br>\ndue to start today on Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden course in<br>\nSingapore until Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the series, the player who collects the largest<br>\nsum of money will top the circuit's order of merit and be invited<br>\nto the US$ 1 million Kosaido Japan Open.<\/p>\n<p>The circuit, set up in 1984, is open to female golfers aged<br>\nover 17.
