100 workers fall ill from water<\/p>\n
BEKASI: Around 100 workers of PT SC Indonesia in Cikarang,
\nBekasi regency, had to be taken to the hospital after they
\nvomited and suffered diarrhea on Tuesday at around 7:30 p.m.,
\nallegedly from drinking Salimdo, a brand of mineral water.<\/p>\n
\"They were working when suddenly several of them vomited.
\nBefore that, they had drunk the mineral water from the water
\ndispenser. The company management rushed them to the hospital
\nbecause the symptoms were worrying,\" Cikarang Police chief Adj.
\nComr. Mardono said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He said a sample of the mineral water had been sent to the
\nNational Police laboratory and they were waiting for the results
\nto determine if the mineral water was the cause.<\/p>\n
\"It is too early to conclude that the mineral water was the
\ncause of the worker' sickness,\" said Mardono.<\/p>\n
He said the workers had been sent home after receiving
\ntreatment.<\/p>\n
\"They are all in good condition after receiving medication.
\nHowever, we will continue with the investigation until we
\ndetermine the cause of the incident, so that the public do not
\nwonder why we have stopped probing the case,\" he said. -- JP<\/p>",
