        "content": "<p>Bukittinggi, West Sumatra \u2014 A 100-metre long Chinese Muslim\ncalligraphy painting by artist Professor Yusuf Liu Baojun is currently\non display in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, as part of the International\nMinangkabau Literacy Festival (IMLF) celebrating the centenary of Jam\nGadang. The exhibition serves as a highlight of the 100-year Jam Gadang\ncelebrations and the IMLF, providing a space where art, literacy,\nculture, and spiritual values intersect for the public to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Mayor of Bukittinggi, Ibnu Asis, expressed his\nappreciation for Professor Yusuf Liu\u2019s dedication and contribution in\npresenting high-value Islamic calligraphy. He noted that the works not\nonly showcase artistic beauty but also convey profound spiritual\nmessages. He added that the exhibition aligns with the spirit of the\nIMLF in introducing Minangkabau culture and Bukittinggi\u2019s tourism\npotential to the international community.<\/p>\n<p>The Literacy Mother of West Sumatra, Harneli Mahyeldi, invited the\npublic, particularly the residents of Bukittinggi, to take advantage of\nthis rare opportunity by visiting the exhibition. Both officials\nexpressed their admiration for the monumental 100-metre calligraphy\npiece displayed at the exhibition area.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Yusuf Liu Baojun is a renowned international Chinese\ncalligrapher and author currently residing in Malaysia, having produced\nat least 37 books and hundreds of artworks. His work is currently being\ndisplayed in the Bung Hatta Palace Meeting Room in Bukittinggi.\nPreviously, he demonstrated his skill by creating a 25-metre calligraphy\npiece during the Creative Economy Festival (Feskraf) in Jakarta. In\naddition to the exhibition, during the launch of 100 books as part of\nthe IMLF, Yusuf Liu also launched his latest book titled \u2018One Eternal\nSoul in Sumatra\u2019.<\/p>",
