BOGOR, West Java (JP): Local authorities have taken back from
\ndevelopers at least 100 hectares of state-owned land being used
\nfor buildings in the tourist resort of Puncak, Bogor.<\/p>\n
Denny M Moechrry, head of the information office at the Bogor
\nRegency, said that the plots were seized after numerous buildings
\nand luxury villas were destroyed.<\/p>\n
Denny did not explain how the building owners were able obtain
\nto get building permits for the houses and villas in the
\nMegamendung, Cisarua and Ciawi subdistricts.<\/p>\n
\"The Bogor regency has torn down 51 buildings that were
\nstanding on the land,\" he was quoted by Kompas as saying.<\/p>\n
He said that Bogor Regent Eddie Yoso Martadipura will soon

JAKARTA (JP): The 3.5-hour kidnapping drama of a nine-year-old
\nschoolgirl in South Jakarta ended last Friday with the girl's
\nparents agreeing to give up US$85,000 in ransom, though the money
\nhas not been lost.<\/p>\n
Nursiah, the girl's mother, told the Berita Yudha morning
\ndaily over the weekend that she transferred the money to the BII
\nbank in Cawang, East Jakarta, on Friday at 2:15 p.m., as demanded
\nby the abductor. The abductor gave Nursiah his account number and
\ntold her not to go to the police.<\/p>\n
Ridha Firli Tendri, the abducted girl, was released soon after
\nthe money was transferred. Eyewitnesses said they saw the girl
\nget out of a black Toyota Kijang van at around 4:30 p.m. on
\nFriday<\/p>\n
Nursiah said she had reported to the police before
\ntransferring the money. Police said that they asked the bank to
\nblock the account number so the money could not be withdrawn.<\/p>\n
Nursiah, a clerk at the North Jakarta District Court, said she
\nwas called by someone she did not know while she was still in the
\noffice on Friday at 12:30 p.m. \"The caller asked me to transfer
\nthe money to the bank,\" she said.<\/p>\n
Quoting her daughter, Nursiah said that an unidentified man in
\na black Toyota Kijang van had approached her daughter and asked
\nher to have lunch at McDonalds.<\/p>\n
After the release the girl said she could not remember the man
\nnor the location of the McDonalds. However, the police are

JAKARTA (JP): A 35-year-old housewife has allegedly been raped
\nby five unidentified men in her residence in Bekasi, West Java.<\/p>\n
The Berita Yudha morning daily reported over the weekend that
\nthe five men took turns raping Ti before asking her to surrender
\nher furniture on Friday.<\/p>\n
According to the daily, the house, including the furniture,
\nwas being rented by Ti from her Bogor-based relative, who
\nreportedly wanted the furniture returned, but Ti and her husband
\nrefused to give it back<\/p>\n
Police are not sure if the rape is connected with the owner's
