        "content": "<p>A total of 1,800 heads of household in Sumur Batu Urban Village,\nKemayoran District, Central Jakarta, have received food assistance in\nthe form of rice for the second phase covering the July\u2013September 2026\nperiod from the Ministry of Social Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the People\u2019s Welfare Section of Sumur Batu Urban Village,\nNuryanti Fahman, said the distribution of the food assistance took place\nover three days, from 20 to 22 August 2026, at the official residence of\nthe Sumur Batu sub-district head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe handover of the assistance took place over three days, from 20\nto 22 August 2026, at the official residence of the Sumur Batu\nsub-district head for beneficiary families spread across eight community\nunits,\u201d Nuryanti said in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>She said the number of recipients of the second-phase food assistance\nin 2026 in Sumur Batu Urban Village had decreased compared with the\nprevious period. However, a number of new beneficiary families have been\nadded to the recipient list based on updated data from the Ministry of\nSocial Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, many new beneficiary family data entries have been included\nto receive the second-phase food assistance according to the latest data\nfrom the Ministry of Social Affairs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The amount differs from the first-phase food assistance, which\nconsisted of 20 kilograms of rice and four litres of cooking oil.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the official residence of the Sumur Batu\nsub-district head was chosen as the distribution location because it is\nsituated within a residential area, making it more accessible for aid\nrecipients.<\/p>\n<p>During the distribution, Sumur Batu Urban Village also urged\nrecipients not to use plastic bags when carrying the rice assistance.\nThe appeal is part of efforts to reduce the use of single-use plastics\nin public service activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have socialised with neighbourhood and community unit\nadministrators so that aid recipients bring goodie bags, not plastic,\u201d\nshe said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, one aid recipient, Darmisem (68), a resident of RT 12\/RW\n04 in Sumur Batu Urban Village, expressed gratitude for still receiving\nsocial assistance from the government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am grateful to regularly receive food assistance to meet my daily\nfood needs. Some of the rice is resold to relatives or neighbours to buy\nside dishes,\u201d she said.<\/p>",
