        "content": "<p>A total of 1,759 part-time Government Employees with Work Agreements\n(PPPK) under the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Government have\nreceived an additional incentive of Rp 500,000. The incentive was\ngranted during the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas)\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Adiawan, one of the teachers receiving the additional Rp 500,000\nmonthly incentive, appeared delighted. The additional incentive is given\nto high school (SMA), vocational high school (SMK), and special needs\nschool (SLB) teachers in NTB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope for a decent salary for the welfare of teachers in NTB,\nespecially part-time PPPK teachers. Because our salaries depend on the\nregion\u2019s capabilities,\u201d said Adi after the Hardiknas commemoration roll\ncall at the NTB Education, Youth, and Sports Office, on Saturday\n(2\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Adi revealed that the average salary for part-time PPPK teachers in\nNTB is still below the provincial minimum wage (UMP). He stated that the\nincome for part-time PPPK teachers in NTB is not uniform, depending on\nthe number of teaching hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, the salary I receive is around Rp 1.2 million. The\ncalculation is Rp 40,000 per hour,\u201d added the English teacher at SMKN 1\nBatulayar.<\/p>\n<p>Adi hopes the government can further improve the welfare of\neducators. According to Adi, the salaries received by teachers so far\nare far from sufficient to survive a month.<\/p>\n<p>NTB Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal stated that the disbursement of the\nRp 500,000 incentive to part-time PPPK teachers will begin in September\n2026. Iqbal promised to strive to improve the welfare of teachers in\nNTB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also trying to find ways to increase teacher welfare.
