The National Secretariat for Disaster-Safe Education Units (Seknas\nSPAB) has documented that 1,741 schools across Sumatra have formally\nentered into Cooperation Agreements (PKS) for Education Unit\nRevitalisation. The total value of the agreements reached IDR1.254\ntrillion, with IDR411.4 billion already successfully disbursed.<\/p>\n
Director-General of Early Childhood, Basic, and Secondary Education,\nGogot Suharwoto, emphasised that accelerating learning recovery is the\ngovernment\u2019s primary priority to ensure students\u2019 right to education is\nprotected during the emergency period.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery child has the right to return to learning in safe and\ncomfortable conditions. Therefore, accelerating budget disbursement and\nimproving aid distribution mechanisms are concrete steps to ensure\ndisaster-affected learning spaces can be restored quickly and learning\ncan resume,\u201d said Gogot.<\/p>\n
The disbursement process was temporarily delayed this week due to an\nagreement addendum adjusting furniture additions in the revitalisation\nmenu. Plans call for an additional 248 schools to join the PKS next\nweek, with the disbursement process continuing for schools that have\nalready implemented the agreements.<\/p>\n
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Culture through the\nEducation Finance Service Centre (Puslapdik) is also unblocking\ngovernment assistance funding (Banpem) worth IDR21.6 billion. This\nprocess is scheduled to be completed next week so it can be immediately\ndistributed to meet learning needs during the emergency transition\nperiod towards recovery.<\/p>\n
