The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has suspended operations of 1,256 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in eastern Indonesia starting 1 April 2026 due to their failure to obtain Hygiene and Sanitation Certificates (SLHS) and install Wastewater Treatment Installations (IPAL), essential for food safety standards in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. This firm action underscores the agency's commitment to ensuring public health and environmental compliance, with affected units required to undergo re-verification before resuming operations. The move highlights ongoing challenges in implementing government nutrition initiatives amid bureaucratic and technical hurdles.",

This directly concerns the health of the beneficiaries,” he
stressed.

BGN had previously given time for all SPPG to complete the
requirements. However, up to the deadline, many had not registered for
SLHS or provided IPAL.

BGN assures that SPPG which have met the provisions can resume
operations after undergoing re-verification.

“We encourage them to make improvements immediately. Once complete,
they can be resubmitted for verification,” Rudi concluded.
",
