Spatial Planning Not Harmonious for Investment
Thursday, 14 September, 2006 | 17:29 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Lukman Purnomosidhi, Chairman of the Indonesian Real Estate association, has said that spatial planning in Indonesia does not provide investment security, especially as far as property developers are concerned.

This insecurity is reflected in land provisions for developing property and non-property, not to mention the expensive permit procedures, which are not transparent.

Spatial planning that offers investment security, Lukman added, must have uninterrupted inter-regional, time, and inter-sector connections.

The mechanism for changing spatial planning must also be clear.

Lukman cited unclear spatial planning alterations that can be seen in Jakarta when toll roads are constructed.
